I'm currently reading The Sufi Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan, a Sufi mystic of the early 1900's.
It includes:
The Mysticism of Sound
Music
The Power of the Word
& Cosmic Language

Currently he is talking about vibrations. How everyone has a specific note that their soul is tuned to.
Excerpt:
Sound has its birth, death, sex, form, planet, god, color, childhood, youth and age; but that volume of sound which is in the abstract sphere beyond the sphere of the concrete is the origin and basis of all sound.
(He goes on to say that thoughts too include all of these things)
-This book is changing my life. I have always thought everything was born, created with sound/vibrations. Here's someone who has written a whole book about it over a hundred years ago.
thank you Mr. Khan.

This Sounds Amazing
I'll have to find it~

Below is the opening paragraph
of the Neil Gaiman novel
Anansi Boys~ I was on A Delta Song
flight to NYC when I read it~
SONG - plays a zen message over
the screens on the flight~ om

It begins, as most things begin,
with a song.
In the beginning, after all,
were the words,
and they came with a tune.
That was how the world was made,
how the void was divided,
how the lands and the stars and the
dreams and the little gods
and the animals, how all of them
came into the world.
They were sung.
